I have been living and working in Johnston County for 15 years. I have taught grades second through fifth and have been teaching for 23 years. My two daughters, Madeline and Emily, attend middle school here at Neuse. In my free time I love to read, ice skate, and take family trips to the beach. I am very excited to be part of the Neuse Charter School family!
I was born in Staten Island, NY but was raised in Erwin, NC. I currently live in Four Oaks with my husband, John, my children, Dalton and Tori, 3 dogs, and 1 cat. Needless to say, I'm never lonely!
Prior to receiving a Bachelor of Arts in Interdisciplinary Studies from Western Governors University, Utah in 2013, I owned a licensed home daycare and preschool for 14 years (where I was the lead teacher).
I joined the Neuse Charter School 5th grade team as a math teacher in 2013 and then moved on to join the 3rd grade team during the next school year. This will be my 5th year as a member of the 3rd grade team. I am excited to be teaching science and social studies and look forward to another school year working with the exceptional staff and students of Neuse Charter School. Go Cougars!!!!
